Get ready for an unforgettable cinematic experience under the stars at Deckchair Cinema. Nestled on the edge of Darwin Harbour, the outdoor setting boasts panoramic sunset views over the harbour, framed by a lush tropical garden and remnant rainforest. Deckchair Cinema is a unique outdoor cinema that offers an unparalleled movie experience. As an independent cinema operated by the Darwin Film Society, we take pride in showcasing an exclusive selection of films that are usually not available to local audiences.


Deckchair Cinema have now announced their programming for Sunday 7 July. Sundays are hosted by various organisations for fundraising, and on this particular night, Deckchair Cinema will be fundraising for Northern Tango Incorporated. They have chosen the film, Let the Dance Begin. You can find more information and view the trailer here.


Please RSVP via the registration form to confirm your attendance. Ticket(s) will be held and you will be required to pay on arrival at the box office.

Location: Starting and ending at the Waterfront.  The route will take you along the waterfront and esplanade, via the aptly named ‘Doctors Gully Carpark’, and back.


Lace up your running shoes and join us for an energising start to the day with our Wellbeing Morning Run that sets the tone for an inspiring conference experience. This family-friendly, guided 5km fun run will kick off from the iconic Darwin Waterfront, taking you on a scenic route, yet to be confirmed. After the run, you can enjoy a well-deserved post-run dip at the nearby man-made beach, if you fancy it.


With numerous coffee shops lining the Waterfront, attendees can indulge in a delicious breakfast and fuel up for the day ahead.

We are thrilled to invite LGBTQIA+ members, trainees and allies to our queer EM networking event, where we will come together to foster connections, and promote inclusivity within our profession and our future. This event will be part of the social program at the Conference.

Cost: The Gala Dinner is included for ACEM Fellow and Trainee registration categories. Additional tickets are $175.00 each. Children tickets for under 10s available for $30.00 each.


Yeehaw! Get ready for a boot-stompin' good time at the Gala Event, held at the breathtaking Darwin Botanic Gardens. We look forward to a lively night of music, good food and drink, and inspired conversations. We are thrilled to announce that the Hillbilly Goats, a renowned Australian bluegrass and folk band, will be taking to the stage. Their energetic music, infectious rhythms, and soulful melodies will ignite the dance floor and keep you movin' and groovin' all night long. Kick up your heels, let loose, and enjoy an evening to remember.

Start your day with tranquillity and rejuvenation at the Wellbeing Morning Yoga session, facilitated by Isobel Perkins. This yoga session will be suitable for all levels of experience and will be held at the picturesque Darwin Waterfront.


Immerse yourself in the serenity of the surroundings as you flow through yoga poses designed to relax your mind, stretch your body, and enhance your overall wellbeing. After the session, unwind and connect with nature by taking a refreshing post-yoga dip at the nearby man-made beach.


Before continuing with your day, refuel at one of the many coffee shops conveniently located around the area. We will have a limited number of yoga mats available, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat or towel to ensure maximum comfort during the session.
