Amanda Wallis is the mother of two gorgeous young children who are being bought along for the ride on their parents’ quest to improve equity in healthcare. She has worked and trained in 20 something different hospitals in 8 countries, including most states of Australia, varying from well-resourced “Centres of Excellence” to a 5x3km island with very poor resources and a very large public health challenge. Currently she is based in a hospital in rural Tanzania, with an assignment to improve Emergency Care. When in Australia she is an Emergency Physician based in Darwin, with a soul that is drawn to remoteness, wildness and beauty, having grown up in the beauty and wildness of Tasmania.
