Andrew graduated from Monash University in 1984. After initially pursuing a career in Surgery, Andrew chose to switch to Emergency Medicine under the tutelage of Associate Professor Joe Epstein. 

 

Andrew completed his Emergency Medicine training in 2000 and worked as an Emergency Physician at Western Health 2001-2011. He then took on the position of Director of Emergency Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) which he held for ten years (from February 2012). Andrew continues to work as a FACEM at SVHM.
