Professional Bio
Larissa has spent most of her life living and working in rural areas. She was born in Lismore and spent the majority of her 9 year paramedic career working in rural and remote areas.  Her passion for rural medicine grew from working as a paramedic where she found a transition into wanting to study medicine to be a very natural progression. In 2020 she was selected as part of the first cohort to begin studying medicine at Charles Sturt University Rural medicine school where 100% of clinical placements are rurally based. She is currently a 4th year medical student due to complete her degree next year.
