Sandra Brownlea is a Senior Staff Specialist at the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Regional Hospital Emergency Department.  Prior to commencing her medical career, she was a bench scientist with a passion for platelets.   After those long years of training and still not treated anyone with Bernard-Soulier syndrome, she is back in the research space.  With a new passion for health care equity, she is focusing on minimising fragmented care and clinical risk for people who attend frequently.  She has also published on the impact of various NT alcohol related policies on Emergency Department presentations, and is working hard to build research capacity within our department.
