Valerie Astle is a FACEM PEM who works in the emergency department at the tertiary paediatric hospital for Western Australia. She did most of her training in NSW and has travelled and worked across Australia.

Valerie is passionate about sharing PEM knowledge and education to hospital sites and staff outside of the tertiary hospital setting. She has co-founded the Western Australian Paediatric Emergency Medicine Network, which provides outreach education, event nights and a networking space. 

She is also on the ACEM PEM Network and is involved in many other PEM development projects on a local and national level.
