The ACEM primary exam is an important milestone within emergency training. The Primary Cast Podcast was set up to provide a study group equivalent for rural and remote trainees, as well as those with carer responsibilities. Since the first episode published in December 2020, there have been 70,000 downloads from across Australia. Much of the feedback so far is from trainees in rural and remote areas, who credit the podcast as the key resource to helping them pass. As technology advances and trainees continue to work remotely, this kind of innovation in education will ensure they are not left behind.
