Liz likes a challenge.  Her first rural experience was 12 months in Charleville as a PGY2.  She describes that year as “formative”.  

 

As her first consultant posting, Liz became the Director of Alice Springs ED. She stayed 10 years.

 

Liz now lives on Yidinji Country with extended family, and works part-time in Gimuy.  As Clinical Lead for the EMET Cairns Hub, she developed close relationships with the Rural Facilities in FNQ. 

 

Liz is invested in the work of ACEM.  She’s held many committee roles including Chair of RRR Committee.  She still loves Emergency Medicine, despite the heartache that can bring.
